How distance works

Pick your exploration range. We'll show you sites within that distance on the map.

Right Here100 ft (about half a block)
Stroll490 ft (1–2 blocks)
Quick Walk0.25 mi (5–6 blocks)
Worth The Walk0.5 mi (a real walk)

Note: Notifications fire when you're within ~65 ft of a site, regardless of which range you pick. Your range only controls what shows on the map.

How LoreAtlas works

Walk aroundLoreAtlas uses GPS to find hidden history near you.
Set your rangePick how far you want to explore: Right Here, Stroll, Quick Walk, or Worth The Walk. Sites within that distance show on the map.
Feel the heartbeatAs you approach a site, your phone pulses faster. The closer you get, the more urgent the rhythm.
You're here! When you're right at a site, you'll get a notification with the story. Tap Authenticate to mark your visit.

Customize alerts anytime by tapping the bell icon at the top.

One more step

Android sometimes shuts down background apps to save battery. To keep LoreAtlas alerts firing when your phone's in your pocket, set us to Unrestricted battery use.

1.Open your phone's Settings
2.Tap Apps
3.Find and tap LoreAtlas
4.Tap Battery
5.Select Unrestricted

You can skip this for now — alerts will still work when the app is open. But if you want to feel them in your pocket on a long walk, this is the move.
